The shape of sculpture was done by casting plaster to flexible fabric moulds. Its form is partly result of accidents and chance. Original small plaster model was scanned with 3d scanner. Mould for concrete casting was carved with CNC router. Router left its print on round shapes of sculpture.
Aaumu is situated in small park in Torpparinmäki, Helsinki. Round color shapes of the flat surface of the work repeat the round layout of the park. The name of the sculpture is onomatopoetic translation of the shape.
